The idea for "Earthquake" arose from a discussion between Peter Alexander and famed film producer Walter Mirish ("Some Like It Hot," "Earthquake,"). Mr. Mirish was planning to sequel to "Earthquake," this time set in San Francisco. When he told Peter that there would be a scene in the film set in an underground BART (subway) station, the ride unfolded in Peter's mind...
